Majestic Divas Social Club, Inc. was founded on January 12, 2009 and incorporated August 1, 2010.

It all began when the founder, Altonia Fowler- Dugar, called upon five (5) friends from various cultural backgrounds, levels of education, and with different professional aspirations with an idea to create an organization that defined true Sisterhood; This organization would be comprised of mature, professional women who were 25 years and older, established in their lives and had something positive to offer their sisters and their community.

Together the founders spent several weeks researching various names and finally it came to them, Majestic Divas. Majestic (adjective) characterized by or possessing majesty; of lofty dignity or imposing aspect; stately; grand: Diva – (Noun.) Woman of rare, outstanding talent; a confident woman of elegance and grace. The official name of the organization is Majestic Divas Social Club, Inc. 

The five founders worked long and hard to establish principles and landmarks that represented what they stood for and what each future sister would exemplify; Sisterhood, Service, Diversity and Professionalism.

The founders decided on the colors Amethyst (a shade of Purple) and Fuchsia (a shade of Pink). Amethyst represents royalty, luxury, wealth and sophistication and Fuchsia represent confidence, assurance and maturity. They chose the Orchid as the official club flower, as it represents Love; Beauty; and Refinement.

Since our inception in 2009 we have we founded our Teen Mentoring Program for young ladies ages 11-17 years old, Mahogany Girls, Inc. ( Established January 12, 2010),  opened enrollment into our sister club(s) in Fayetteville, NC (Established January 12, 2010)and Virginia Beach, VA (Established April 1, 2011).

The sisters of Majestic Divas Social Club, Inc. are dedicated to community service, uplifting youth and professionally representing Majestic Divas Social Club, Inc.

Mission Statement: Empower women and young ladies through positive relationships while promoting excellence in mind (self esteem and self worth), body (image and nutrition), and spirit (our purpose in life).

Vision Statement: Enhance the quality of life by providing resources, services, networking opportunities along with advocacy in the following areas: Children’s Advocacy

(mentoring, literacy, and tutoring), HIV/AIDS Awareness/Prevention, Domestic Violence Prevention/Awareness, Teenage Pregnancy Awareness/Prevention, Breast Cancer Awareness, and Women’s Health Awareness/Prevention.
